Biologists on the Florida campus of The Scripps Research Institute have discovered a new mechanism that likely underlies how we feel force or touch. Their study suggests that "rafts" of fatty lipids on the cell surface act as compartments to keep certain enzymes from mixing with their binding partners.

Unless there have been unusual mental changes or challenges in their daily life, tests of a patient's attention, memory or brain processing speed is usually not part of a check-up.
The currently licensed seasonal trivalent influenza vaccines contain 15 micrograms of viral hemagglutinin protein per strain for adults, and up to 60 micrograms for elderly individuals; however, due to recent shortages, reducing these doses would be highly desirable.
