ALPHAEON Corporation today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement with PhysIOL SA of Belgium, to jointly develop and commercialize an exclusive ALPHAEON-branded Trifocal lens technology. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Idera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced the publication of data from studies of a dual agonist of Toll-like Receptor 7 and TLR8 in preclinical models of cancer. The Company created this first-in-class RNA-based dual agonist of TLR7 and TLR8 through its chemistry-based approach to identifying novel TLR-targeted drug candidates.
Findings from a new retrospective cohort study presented at the American College of Gastroenterology's 74th Annual Scientific meeting in San Diego indicate that patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), especially those receiving the thiopurine class of medications to treat IBD, may be at risk for developing non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC).
Behaviours associated with controlling sleep and managing the negative effects of insomnia are independently associated with disturbed sleep in patients with anxiety or depressive disorders, US research shows.
