Project Happiness, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization specializing in emotional resilience-building programs, announced today the launch of Hungry 4 Happiness, a viral grassroots fundraising campaign which combines a "chain" of dinner parties that will benefit Project Happiness through a platform that includes in-home promotion, social media outreach and blogger call-to-action.
For most people with Parkinson's disease, the only relief from the tremors, rigidity and impaired movement associated with the progressive loss of their motor skills is a drug called L-DOPA. But as the disease progresses, L-DOPA can cause prominent side effects that counteract its effectiveness.
All programs educating students for licensure as registered nurses, whether they offer associate or bachelor's degrees, are essential to solving the nation's nursing shortage, says a new policy brief released today by the American Association of Community Colleges.
The American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG), one of the original plaintiffs in the anti-gene-patenting lawsuit filed in 2009, celebrated the US District Court ruling yesterday that genes are "unpatentable."
