The recently enacted federal health care reform law provides health insurance coverage to the largest number of Americans while keeping federal costs as low as reasonably possible, according to a new analysis from the RAND Corporation.
The New Hampshire Bio/Medical Council held its 2nd Annual Awards Dinner on October 14, 2010 at the Wentworth-By-The-Sea Country Club in Rye, NH. During the evening, the Bio/Medical Council awarded Atrium Medical Corporation of Hudson, NH the NH Bio/Medical Council Business of the Year Award. In attendance to accept the award were Ted Karwoski, Chief Operating Officer and Steve Vail, Group VP of Global Marketing.
Hydrogen sulphide is a gas most commonly associated with the smell of stink bombs, sewage and rotten eggs, but a team of researchers from the Peninsula Medical School in the South West of England and King's College London have now identified a role for this gas in regulating blood pressure, according to research published in the leading science journal "Circulation".
An international team led by scientists at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University has identified a highly promising new anti-tuberculosis compound that attacks the tuberculosis (TB) bacterium in two different ways.
New analysis by the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that negative or ageist attitudes towards older people are widespread. They also negatively affect older people's physical and mental health.
