Biologists could gain a deeper understanding about how species have evolved - and even find ways to address antibiotic resistance - using tools that were developed recently at Stockholm's KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
Medecins Sans Frontieres, the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative, and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine this week are hosting a conference in New York, titled "Lives in the Balance: Delivering Medical Innovations for Neglected Patients and Populations," the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
MedMira has announced today that it has filed a provisional patent application for a system which enables over-the-counter (OTC) home testing and diagnosis of infectious diseases, such as HIV, hepatitis C, and other medical conditions.
Russian scientists are currently creating a pleasant and harmless vaccine, and edible one at that. So far, they managed to incorporate the protein gene – HIV antigen in tomatoes. The research is supported by International Science and Technology Center.
