Latest results from a trial of a combination of two targeted therapies (dabrafenib and trametinib) to treat advanced melanoma have shown that patients are living significantly longer on the combined therapy than patients treated with another drug, vemurafenib, when used alone.
A two- or three-drug combination is more effective at reducing intrapartum HIV acquisition than zidovudine monotherapy in babies who are at high risk for transmission, a study in The New England Journal of Medicine shows.
BioSante Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced that results of an evaluation of its 2A/Furin technology by Novartis Pharma AG in its industrial antibody CHO expression system were published in the Journal of Applied Microbiology & Biotechnology. The results demonstrate that the 2A/Furin technology was integrated successfully into a plasmid-based, industrial-scale, CHO antibody cell line development process, with minimal optimization required.
CardioNet, Inc., a leading wireless medical technology company with a current focus on the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiac arrhythmias, announced that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ("CMS") has established a national rate in The Medicare Program Final Rule for the technical component of mobile cardiovascular telemetry (CPT Code 93229).
