AmerisourceBergen Corporation today reported that in its fiscal year 2011 first quarter, ended December 31, 2010, diluted earnings per share were $0.57, a 10 percent increase. Revenue in the quarter was a record $19.9 billion, up 3 percent.
Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an exclusive worldwide collaborative development, manufacturing and commercialization license agreement with Novartis for Paratek's lead broad-spectrum antibiotic, PTK 0796, a first-in-class aminomethylcycline (AMC) in Phase 3 clinical trials.
According to a new report (PDF) from the National Survey of Family Growth, part of the CDC's (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) National Center for Health Statistics, American teenagers are still having as much sex as before. Heartening is the trend of improved usage of contraception or birth control says the report.
Type 1 diabetes is the most common chronic childhood disease.
