Communication between the brain's auditory and reward circuits is the reason why humans find music rewarding, according to new research published in JNeurosci.
How does the brain work? This question is one of the greatest scientific mysteries, and neurobiologists have only recently begun to piece together the molecular building blocks that enable human beings to be "thinking" animals.
A study published on May 17 in Nature, discovers an innovative method to produce infinite supply of healthy blood cells from the readily available cells that line blood vessels. This achievement by the researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine marks the first time that any research group has generated such blood-forming stem cells.
"Government spin won't help autistic children and their families," HSA President Reid Johnson said today in response to a massive government cut in support for autistic children across British Columbia.
Researchers and clinicians worldwide working in migraine, headache and brain injury share the field's latest scientific advances at the International Headache Congress, hosted by the International Headache Society and the American Headache Society.
