Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of the sanofi-aventis Group, announced today that shipping of the 2010-2011 formulation of its seasonal influenza vaccine Fluzone Influenza Virus Vaccine is underway in the U.S.
Biomerica, Inc. today reported net sales of $1,099,880 for the three months ended November 30, 2009, compared to $1,120,575 for the same period in the previous year. Net sales were $2,248,401 for the first six months of fiscal 2010 compared to $2,314,920 for the first six months in fiscal 2009.
The drugs include traditional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as well as new generation anti-inflammatory drugs, known as COX-2 inhibitors. The researchers say that doctors and patients need to be aware that prescription of any anti-inflammatory drug needs to take cardiovascular risk into account.
A study led by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center showed that treatment combining lower doses of chemotherapy with the monoclonal antibody inotuzumab ozogamicin (INO), with or without the drug blinatumomab, is safe and effective in patients over 60 years of age who were newly diagnosed with a high-risk form of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) known as Philadelphia chromosome-negative ALL.
