Georgia Health Sciences University, Augusta, GA exhibited a poster at the recent 11th National Conference on Cancer Nursing Research in Los Angeles, in which their clinical study showed RyMed Technologies' zero displacement InVision-Plus® IV Connector significantly decreased the incidence of catheter-related bloodstream infections (CR-BSIs) by 92.6% on average when compared to a simple split septum with negative displacement IV connector (Becton-Dickinson Q-Syte®) and a reversed split-septum device with negative displacement IV connector (ICU Medical Clave®).
Oncotarget recently published "Evaluation of cancer-derived myocardial impairments using a mouse model" which reported that Myocardial damage in cancer patients is emphasized as a cause of death; however, there are not many murine cachexia models to evaluate cancer-derived heart disorder.
Being cut off from work email significantly reduces stress and allows employees to focus far better, according to a new study by UC Irvine and U.S. Army researchers.
With the House having passed its version of health care reform (H.R. 3962) and the Senate on the verge of passing its version (H.R. 3590), the outline of a final bill is beginning to take shape. These include the cost of expanding coverage, the methods used to prevent that cost from adding to the deficit, and the prospects for systemic reforms to reduce cost growth over time.
To date, it is not clear how the COVID-19 pandemic and implementation of various preventive strategies impacted mental health or which group of people were most affected by them. To address these issues, scientists have conducted coordinated analyses that included eleven UK longitudinal population studies, comprising data from before and throughout the pandemic.
