Virtual reality, dance and fun are not the first things that come to mind when we think of treating urinary incontinence in senior women. However, these concepts were the foundations of a promising study by Dr. Chantal Dumoulin, PhD, Canada Research Chair in Urogynaecological Health and Aging, a researcher at the Institut universitaire de g-riatrie de Montr-al, and an associate professor in the Physiotherapy Program of the Rehabilitation School at Universit- de Montr-al, and her master's student, Miss Val-rie Elliott.
In response to increased political and regulatory scrutiny, pharmaceutical companies are rebranding their promotional speaker programs as unparalleled opportunities for physicians to learn or remain current on the latest drug developments and to network with colleagues. The rebranding is helping to attract physicians who are more interested in learning than in getting a free meal. It is also working to improve program ROI and lessen pressures from outside agencies that feel the meetings are payoffs for prescriptions.
Utilizing Fluidigm Corporation's Dynamic Array™ and Digital Array™ integrated fluidic circuits (IFCs), Stanford University researchers to have discovered a much larger spectrum of differences between individual cells than has previously been demonstrated. Among these differences are the communication capabilities that emerge from the interactions of genetic circuitry that mediates cell-to-cell communication.
A new report launched today by The African Child Policy Forum (ACPF) measures African government's investment in children and confirms that a country's commitment to child rights and wellbeing is not dependent on their economic status, but rather on political will and spending priorities.
