Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers are looking at ways to combine imaging and biomarkers to predict prostate cancer progression more accurately.
Newly published findings about the phylogenetics and systematics of some previously known, but also other yet to be identified species of Old World Leaf-nosed bats, provide the first contribution to a recently launched collection of research articles, whose task is to help scientists from across disciplines to better understand potential hosts and vectors of zoonotic diseases, such as the Coronavirus.
Prostate cancer kills more African-American and black men than any other group. Yet, according to a new review published by Moffitt Cancer Center researchers, there is a significant lack of clear and consistent screening and early detection guidelines or prevention strategies.
The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) has helped state, local and tribal health officials identify an outbreak of "hypervirulent" strep bacteria in the American Southwest.
Merck & Co., Inc. said today that a mistrial was declared by U.S. District Court Judge John F. Keenan in Boles v. Merck, the first FOSAMAX case to go to trial. This case was the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee's first choice to take to trial. The Boles case was tried in New York federal court and involved a Florida woman who blamed her dental and jaw problems on FOSAMAX.
