Malaria is a worldwide menace. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, over 500,000 individuals died from malaria in 2013 alone. While treatments for the disease exist, cures can also take a hefty physical toll.
The swine flu has started to spread across the US and there is one company ready to stop it in its tracks. Premier Ozone of Charlotte, NC has developed a proprietary system to kill swine flu in any indoor environment and eliminate bacteria and mold in the process. The specialized system uses no chemicals and has been proven to kill over 99.99% of all surface and airborne viruses and bacteria. The process has no adverse effects on buildings or furniture and is not dangerous to the public.
Researchers in the Netherlands have identified a chemical agent that may be a, if not the, culprit in bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS), or "popcorn worker's lung," a severe occupational lung disease first noted in 2001 among workers at an American plant that makes microwaveable popcorn.
Ashish Jha, assistant professor of health policy and management at the Harvard School of Public Health and colleagues from Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Boston Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, have for the first time assessed the quality of care in U.S. hospitals.
AstraZeneca, a global pharmaceutical company, has signed an agreement with Ceram Research Ltd, the international materials development company, for Ceram to develop its Inorganic-based Controlled Release Technology in a feasibility study for the delivery of selected AstraZeneca compounds.
