The women of Canada will soon benefit from low-dose mammography. Trillium Radiology Associates, which operates private diagnostic imaging facilities in Toronto and Mississauga, has invested in four digital mammography systems from the IT and medical technology company Sectra. The system was sold by Xtron Imaging Inc., Sectra's new distribution partner for Canada.
Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) announced today that Nightingale on Demand, a software product developed by Nightingale Informatix Corporation, (Nightingale), is the first product in Canada to successfully achieve electronic medical record (EMR) certification.
"The issue of health care reform in the United States is extraordinarily complex," but the "good news is that we can take steps now to improve the health and well-being of our people by addressing our nation's single greatest threat to public health and our health care system: chronic disease," former U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona writes in a Philadelphia Inquirer opinion piece.
Perrigo today announced that its licensor and supplier Synthon has received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Levocetirizine tablets, a generic version of Xyzal® tablets from UCB/Sepracor, which is marketed in the U.S. by Sanofi-Aventis. Perrigo has the exclusive rights from Synthon to sell and distribute the product in the U.S.
