Sanofi-aventis announced today results of a head-to-head study providing further evidence on the efficacy of once-daily, 24-hour basal insulin Lantus(R) (insulin glargine (rDNA) injection) compared to twice-daily insulin detemir. The study was presented during the 45th Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Vienna.
A new study by Osaka University scientists shows that non-labeling multiphoton microscopy (NL-MPM) can be used for quantitative imaging of cancer that is safe and requires no resection, fixation or staining of tissues.
The International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA) announced its capability to accredit workshops to provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for medical interpreters, in all languages worldwide. The organization sets this as a concrete step to professionalize medical interpreters.
