Scientists reported the development of a robust and streamlined procedure for whole-genome copy number profiling of circulating tumor cells from a simple blood test.
According to a new study published yesterday in the Journal JAMA Internal Medicine, the problems related to the use of personal care products and cosmetics have nearly doubled in the last couple of years. Hair care products lead the race among the number of people unhappy with them. Two other problem areas include skin care products and tattoos.
Use of the diabetes drug metformin - before a diagnosis of COVID-19 - is associated with a threefold decrease in mortality in COVID-19 patients with Type 2 diabetes, according to a racially diverse study at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Every time we learn something new, the memory does not only need to be acquired, it also needs to be stabilized in a process called memory consolidation.
A new trial showed that indoor live events are not associated with an increased risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection, provided preventive interventions are in place.
