New research by Weill Cornell Medicine and University of Trento scientists shows that while chemotherapy kills the most common type of bladder cancer, urothelial cancer, chemotherapy also shapes the genetic evolution of remaining urothelial cancer cell clones to become drug-resistant.
Researchers have developed a simple scoring system, based on a patient's age, health issues, and education, which accurately predicts the risk of dementia in people aged over 60 with type 2 diabetes.
A new study shows that among men treated for breast cancer, African-American men are more likely to die of the disease compared with white men. The results of the study are published online in the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO).
