NewLink Genetics Corporation today announced that additional data from its Phase 2 clinical trial of the company's investigational HyperAcute® Pancreas cancer immunotherapy will be presented during a poster session at the American Society of Clinical Oncology 2011 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium in San Francisco, California.
New safety measures for soil fumigant pesticides will increase protections for agricultural workers and bystanders - people who live, work, or otherwise spend time near fields that are fumigated. For the soil fumigants methyl bromide, chloropicrin, dazomet, metam sodium, and metam potassium, EPA will require a suite of new mitigation measures that will work together to protect human health.

Recent findings from a University of Missouri study reveal that positive family relationships and religious affiliation can counteract risk factors - including addicted family members, exposure to violence and deviant peers - associated with drug use.
Today Phadia announced that it has received FDA 510(k) clearance for two new, CLIA Moderate Complexity, EliA autoimmune antibody assays. The new assays will provide physicians with additional tools needed to aid in the diagnosis of Celiac disease. The newly available assays, EliA GliadinDP IgA and EliA GliadinDP IgG (deamidated peptides), have proven to be essential, sensitive and specific markers to aid in the diagnosis of celiac disease.
