Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) will host a talk on maximizing efficiency of NGS enrichment panels at the qPCR & NGS 2015 Advanced Molecular Diagnostics for Biomarker Discovery Symposium on Monday March 23rd at 3PM. The talk will detail current technical issues faced by researchers when using hybridization enrichment panels and provide practical advice on how to increase successes while reducing time and costs in targeted sequencing.
The benefits of collaborative, multidisciplinary care of patients with complex autoimmune diseases like lupus and multiple sclerosis are just beginning to be appreciated by physicians. Hospital for Special Surgery in New York will present evidence of the advantages of such a specialized disease center dedicated to comprehensive lupus care at the 74th Annual Meeting of the American College of Rheumatology in Atlanta.
NanoViricides, Inc. reported today that its FluCide drug candidates demonstrated dramatically improved survival in animals administered a lethal dose of influenza virus. Animals treated with all of the different influenza nanoviricide drug candidates survived for dramatically longer periods as compared to Tamiflu treated animals.
Researchers at UT Southwestern Medical Center have discovered how the genetic mutation that causes Fragile X syndrome, the most common form of inherited mental retardation, interferes with the "pruning" of nerve connections in the brain. Their findings appear in the April 29 issue of Neuron.
