A new obesity measurement for the 21st Century, which can help identify individuals at risk of illness such as heart disease, strokes and diabetes, has been officially launched.
Using a unique single-molecule force measurement tool, a research team has developed a clearer understanding of how platelets sense the mechanical forces they encounter during bleeding to initiate the cascading process that leads to blood clotting.
Today, the learned academies of Australia—representing over 3,000 of the nation's best and most eminent scientists, researchers and other experts—come together to launch a searchable database of experts to help Australia tackle COVID-19.
