In a new University of Manchester study, people with psoriatic arthritis have told researchers about the condition's deeply damaging mental effects and how healthcare services failed to prepare them for its reality.
A group of scientists led by Professor Xavier Pares of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, has published a research on AKR1B10, an enzyme that is detected in large quantities only in lung cancers, particularly those caused by smoking.
For the second time this year, Anthem Blue Cross has agreed to cut its average increases for individual policy holders. WellPoint also has reduced its proposed increased and will delay co-pay and deductible increases until January 1, 2012.
The new study published on June 28 in the Journal of the American Heart Association shows significant reduction in the sudden cardiac arrest incidences among adults who gained health insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and were not insured previously.
