Lung Cancer Awareness month approaches again in November 2016, in the hope to make people aware of the facts and figures that can save people's lives.
MabCure Inc., leading developer of antibody based technology for the diagnosis and treatment of Ovarian, Prostate, Colorectal and other cancers today announced it has entered into an agreement with the City University of New York Center for Advanced Technology (CUNY CAT) to evaluate its monoclonal antibodies against ovarian cancer cells as diagnostic reagents.
Cancer Research UK today (Thursday) launches a new Centre which will accelerate the pace of research in Glasgow and see the city become a world leader in the development of new treatments tailored for individual cancer patients.
The compound, ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), is already used to lower cholesterol and help dissolve gallstones, and it's a key ingredient in many traditional Chinese medicines, which use bear bile. According to the latest research from Imperial College London it might also be able to treat abnormal heart rhythm, or arrhythmia, in fetuses and heart attack victims.
