In a paper recently uploaded to the preprint server bioRxiv* by Diffley et al. (April 8th, 2021), inhibitors of one essential SARS-CoV-2 non-structural protein are explored, with four compounds, in particular, identified as potential antiviral leads that exhibit synergistic effects with antiviral drug remdesivir.
A new discovery by University of Guelph researchers may ultimately help in devising new therapies and improving quality of life for people with Parkinson's disease.
Researchers have shown that a Western diet may affect viral replication, disease severity, and immune protection following infection with SARS-CoV-2.
Repros Therapeutics Inc. today reported it has received Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval to commence the Phase IIb study of Androxal® in men with secondary hypogonadism. The Company has submitted the protocol for FDA comment and plans to begin enrolling subjects in January. Depending on the rate of subject enrollment, Repros hopes to have the study completed before the end of 2011.
