Eisai Inc. today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a five-day dosing regimen for Dacogen® (decitabine) for Injection to treat patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a group of bone marrow diseases that alter the production of functional blood cells.
New results from a study by neuroscientists at Rush University Medical Center suggest that people at risk of developing Alzheimer's disease exhibit a specific structural change in the brain that can be visualized by brain imaging. The findings may help identify those who would most benefit from early intervention.
For disabling hand contractures caused by Dupuytren's disease, patients prefer a percutaneous needle fasciotomy procedure despite the higher contracture recurrence rate when compared to conventional surgery.
El Camino Hospital, the hospital of Silicon Valley, today completed its move into the new, technologically and seismically advanced facility. After completing several practice runs led by the activation team, hospital officials report all patients were safely transferred to the new facility.
