In a breach of patient trust, a British hospital shared the personal information of around 1.6 million patients with Google's DeepMind. This was reported by a British data protection watchdog - Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) yesterday, creating a stir. The deal between the Royal Free NHS Trust and Google's DeepMind first became known to the public in February 2016.
GeNOsys, Inc. today announced they are sponsoring a Phase I safety trial in collaboration with Nitric Solutions Inc. GeNOsys will be testing their patented nitric oxide generator and nitric oxide producing formula for safety and effectiveness in treating disease. In a parallel study Nitric Solutions will be testing the efficacy of their prophilactic nitric oxide producing formula Nitrisol.
Suffering from injuries to his brain, nerves, and tendons for over four years, 45-year-old John Fratti of Hummelstown, PA, has taken on the Food and Drug Administration with good results. Since taking Johnson & Johnson's antibiotic Levaquin for an infection he has had many diagnostic studies on his brain and body that show considerable damage. Cancer is usually attributed to faulty genes, but growing evidence from the field of cancer epigenetics indicates a key role for the gene "silencing" proteins that stably turn genes off inside the cell nucleus. A new study from Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine promises to speed research in the field by rapidly identifying the genes that epigenetic proteins can target for silencing.
