But according to EMR attorneys at the national law firm of LeClairRyan, the time to start making the switch is now–in part because the federal government will soon finalize important new guidelines on what healthcare providers need to do in order to "go digital."
A team of geneticists led by Prof. Đurđica Ugarković of the Croatian Ruđer Bošković Institute have for the first time proved that satellite DNA plays an important regulatory role in how organisms adapt to stressful changes in their environment. These results could in the future help scientists explain how an organism successfully survives stress.
A study led by researchers in the Department of Neurosciences at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine shows unexpected and extensive natural recovery after spinal cord injury in primates. The findings, to be published November 14 in the advance online edition of Nature Neuroscience, may one day lead to the development of new treatments for patients with spinal cord injuries.
A scientific innovator from The City College of New York (CCNY) whose research unites the divergent fields of medicine, biology and high-speed laser physics will be honored this month for his pioneering work in biomedical optics by SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics.
