Upon first inspection, the mutations in the highly contagious delta covid variant don't look that worrisome.
A paper published in the current issue of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics, as a result of the collaboration of several universities (University of Bologna, The Pennsylvania State University, Wayne State University, University of Pennsylvania) points to the important role that benzodiazepines may have in depression.
Training community birth attendants in rural Zambia in a simple newborn resuscitation protocol reduced neonatal deaths by nearly 50 percent - a finding that shows high potential to save lives in similar remote settings, a team of Boston University School of Public Health international health researchers is reporting.
At this week's International Donors' Conference Towards a New Future for Haiti (March 31, 2010), CARE will urge the international community to ensure all Haitians have a chance to rebuild their country anew. Women and girls, in particular, will be at the heart of CARE's policy recommendations to address Haiti's recovery, reconstruction and long-term development needs as donor countries, international organizations and other partners gather to pledge resources and commit to long-term efforts in Haiti following the devastating January earthquake.
Allowing yourself a few minutes of downtime significantly boosts mental and physical relaxation. Research by psychologists at the University of Konstanz observed higher levels of psychological and physiological relaxation in people after only ten minutes of receiving a massage.
