A new study led by Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) investigators finds that radiation therapy may increase the uptake of therapeutic nanoparticles by glioblastomas, raising the possibility of using both growth-factor-targeted and immune-system-based therapies against the deadly brain tumor.
Johnson and Johnson's (J&J) commonly used over-the-counter painkiller Tylenol has been recalled again in some batches because of complaints of a musty or moldy odor in the product. The company is facing a U.S. congressional probe of quality control lapses in the past as well. The drugs recalled to date include the painkiller Motrin and allergy treatment Benadryl as well as this batch of 100,000 bottles of Tylenol.
A leading psychology professor at The University of Texas at Arlington has focused international attention on how a chronic pain patient's irrational doubts about never getting better can influence both his reactions to pain and even treatment outcomes.
These two co-ops, located in Nevada and Michigan, received a total of $135 million in loans from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
