West Physics Consulting, the leading national provider of medical and health physics consulting and testing services, announced today that it has entered into an exclusive arrangement with Digirad Corporation to provide all radiation safety oversight and technical consulting services for Digirad's diagnostic imaging leasing services division, Digirad Imaging Solutions, Inc.
The Prospective Surveillance Model, an innovative new model of breast cancer rehabilitation, is featured in a special supplement to the American Cancer Society's journal, Cancer released on April 6, 2012. The model addresses the numerous physical issues faced by women with breast cancer and offers hope for an improved quality of life for all women with breast cancer through rehabilitation and exercise.
Groundbreaking new insights on the differences in cardiovascular pathophysiology between women and men will be presented by Marianne Legato, MD, a globally recognized expert in gender specific medicine, and consultant to the Women's Heart Foundation in her keynote address at the 98th Annual American Medical Women's Association Conference in New York City, on March 15-17, 2013.
Schonfeld, a University of Illinois at Chicago professor of electrical and computer engineering, is studying gene expression and interactions in ways that are analogous to the workings of electrical or computer networks. He is project director and principal investigator of a four-year, $1.2 million National Institutes of Health grant.
