The New Hampshire Bio/Medical Council held its 2nd Annual Awards Dinner on October 14, 2010 at the Wentworth-By-The-Sea Country Club in Rye, NH. During the evening, the Bio/Medical Council awarded Atrium Medical Corporation of Hudson, NH the NH Bio/Medical Council Business of the Year Award. In attendance to accept the award were Ted Karwoski, Chief Operating Officer and Steve Vail, Group VP of Global Marketing.
A.P. Pharma, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, today announced that it has entered into definitive agreements with certain new and existing accredited investors providing for a private placement of common stock and warrants in which the Company will receive $24 million in gross proceeds.
The potential impact of undiagnosed sexually transmitted chlamydia infection on men's fertility has been highlighted in a study led by Queensland University of Technology (QUT), which for the first time found chlamydia in the testicular tissue biopsies of infertile men whose infertility had no identified cause.
Lorillard Tobacco Company today released a submission to the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC) of the Food and Drug Administration, urging TPSAC to use objectivity and a single scientific standard in considering all worthy studies on the health effects of menthol in cigarettes rather than cherry picking studies and misrepresenting findings.
A team of researchers from Finland and Britain have shown that over half of all the trays or security bins that the airport authorities use at the security clearance areas carry viruses that can cause respiratory infections.
