The results reported today included newly-obtained data showing a trend of increased total GLP-1 in both LX4211 treatment arms relative to placebo as measured in a post-trial analysis of blood samples.
A new study, which analyzed 40 years of Framingham Heart Study data, found an association between lowered rates of hip fractures and decreases in smoking and heavy drinking.
Data have been presented today on the use of Hospira's Inflectra (infliximab), the world's first approved biosimilar monoclonal antibody (mAb), at the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (ECCO-ibd) conference.
The New York Times on Saturday examined how pharmacy benefit managers in recent years "have built lucrative side businesses ... acting as exclusive or semi-exclusive distributors of expensive specialty drugs."
