Targacept, Inc. today announced top-line results from a Phase 2 trial of TC-5619 as a treatment for inattentive-predominant attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHDi). In the trial, TC-5619 did not meet the primary outcome measure, change from baseline on the inattention subscale of the Conners' Adult ADHD Rating Scale-Investigator-Rated (CAARS-INV), after four weeks of treatment versus placebo.
Even as medical caregivers try to change practices, racial disparities in hospice care continue, according to a study in the March 8 issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine.
A round of funding to support research on the emerging Zika virus was announced this week by the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Unit in Emerging and Zoonotic Infections at the University of Liverpool.
