A new study suggests that many women do feel depressed after sex. The study involved more than 200 young Australian women who were questioned about their sex lives. At least one in three young women said they experienced post-coital blues at some point in their lives. Ten per cent said they frequently or almost always felt sad after making love. The study was published in the quarterly International Journal of Sexual Health.

Cone snail insulin research could jumpstart the development of better diabetes treatments

Nearly a century after insulin was discovered, an international team of researchers including University of Utah Health scientists report that they have developed the world's smallest, fully functional version of the hormone, one that combines the potency of human insulin with the fast-acting potential of a venom insulin produced by predatory cone snails.

In mice studies the team has identified CD73 macrophages which could be used to treat the cancers. The team also performed studies on human tumours to arrive at their conclusions. The study was published in the latest issue of the journal Nature Medicine this week.
