A new article from Lockton analyzes the trend, what's driving it, and the risks involved in merging established practices with larger healthcare providers.
"Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning is a significant U.S. health problem, responsible for approximately 500 accidental deaths annually, and a risk of 18 percent to 35 percent for cognitive brain injury 1 year after poisoning.
Today Ingenuity Systems and CLC bio announced that they're collaborating to provide interoperability between their software solutions. The aim of the partnership is to provide researchers with the ability to easily exchange data between CLC bio's enterprise and desktop solutions and Ingenuity's pathway analysis software (IPA®), in order to perform both array and next-generation sequencing data and knowledge analyses.
Sharon Nachman, MD, a pediatric HIV and infectious diseases specialist at Stony Brook Children's Hospital, is a co-author of new National Institutes of Health (NIH)-issued guidelines for the prevention, treatment and management of opportunistic infections in HIV-exposed and HIV-infected children. The 2013 guidelines shed light on the most effective way to treat dangerous and deadly infections such as pneumonia or tuberculosis that can strike immunosuppressed pediatric HIV patients.
