Pharmaceutical company heads and global health leaders gathered at a conference on Monday in London to announce the formation of a large public-private partnership to fight neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and endorse the "London Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases", in which they pledged to work together and track progress.
A new web and app-based software solution, launched in the UK today on World MS Day, will allow physicians and nurses to monitor treatment of patients taking MS disease-modifying treatment Rebif by collecting injection history through the new RebiSmart 2.0 electronic autoinjector.
When paramedics rush to the scene of a multi-car pileup or a terror attack, their first task is to assess who needs immediate care. But blood hemorrhaging can obscure damage, and the gruesome mess means paramedics can't always determine who should be treated first.
What began as a summer internship project designed for an undergraduate student evolved into a one-year study of one of the deadliest, but little known viruses.
