A group of researchers from Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin have further refined the use of deep brain stimulation in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder.
There have been studies that have revealed that men are more likely to get more severe symptoms from COVID-19 disease and also more likely to die from complications of the disease. A new study corroborates these findings. The study titled, "Gender differences in patients with COVID-19: Focus on severity and mortality," is published in the latest issue of the journal Frontiers in Public Health.
For proteins, appearance matters. These important molecules largely form a cell's structures and carry out its functions: proteins control growth and influence mobility, serve as catalysts, and transport or store other molecules.
The 2015 António Champalimaud Vision Award is given to three institutions that have developed a unique collaborative project to achieve the common goal of fighting blindness and poverty in Africa.
