Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing announced today that for the second time it has been selected as a grant recipient of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation New Careers in Nursing Scholarship Program.
New techniques in imaging of brain activity developed by Jean Gotman, from McGill University's Montreal Neurological Institute, and his colleagues lead to improved treatment of patients suffering from epilepsy.
The National Institutes of Health has awarded $7.2 million to a Cleveland Clinic-led research team to improve accuracy of multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnoses.
The National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), announced today it will provide up to an estimated $11 million over the next five years to create two new Biomedical Technology Research Centers (BTRCs) that will provide researchers nationwide with access to specialized research tools, training and state-of-the-art equipment.
"For the first time researchers have discovered a link between overweight and obese mothers in sub-Saharan Africa and infant mortality," Jennifer James, founder of Mom Bloggers for Social Good, writes in this post in the Bill & Melinda Gate's "Impatient Optimists" blog.
