A startup created by Purdue University professors is developing a sensor that can detect dangerous mosquito-borne tropical diseases faster and at a lower cost than current methods, giving health officials time to take action before the viruses are transmitted to humans.
ITelagen, a leading provider of electronic health record hosting and management announced that it was selected by Manhattan's Physician Group to host, support and manage EHR for their medical practice. The newly provided solution includes hosting of patient data in ITelagen's SAS-70 Type II certified datacenter and an extension of ITelagen's support agreement that provides unlimited IT support for staff members.
Greenwich Hospital surgical, labor and delivery, and oncology patients are among those who have received a healing boost through a form of energy therapy known as Healing Touch.The hospital, known for its reputation of service excellence, is among a growing number of medical facilities utilizing Healing Touch, which is a gentle, noninvasive therapy shown to facilitate the relaxation response to enhance the healing process. Research shows that, in addition to inducing a deep sense of calm and relaxation, Healing Touch helps to reduce pain, decrease anxiety, promote sleep and improve an overall sense of well-being.
