Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is characterised primarily by fatigue but people often report muscle pain and sleep problems as well as concentration and memory problems. The symptoms affect people's ability to carry out normal activities that healthy people take for granted. CFS can affect relationships, work and leisure activities.
Undocumented Latino immigrants have some of the lowest rates of health care use - and signs point to it getting worse.
There are important parallels between the early years of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the current epidemic of opioid addiction - ones that could trigger a significant shift in opioid addiction prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
The National Institutes of Health/National Institute on Aging has awarded the Boston University Alzheimer's Disease Center a three-year, $5.4 million grant to continue research on ways to reduce the human and economic costs of Alzheimer's disease (AD) through the advancement of knowledge.
