Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a type of cancer that develops in the brain and or spinal cord.
A major goal of hospitals is to prevent unplanned readmissions of patients after they are discharged. A new study reveals that the preventability of readmissions changes over time: readmissions within the first week after discharge are often preventable by the hospital, whereas readmissions later are often related to patients' difficultly accessing outpatient clinics.
Exalenz Bioscience, a leader in developing and marketing non-invasive medical devices for diagnosing and monitoring a range of gastrointestinal and liver diseases, today announced the initiation of a clinical study designed to investigate its BreathID test to non-invasively detect primary liver cancer, also known as Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC).
Researchers from Qatar have demonstrated that antibody repertoires against endemic human coronaviruses are qualitatively different in children when compared to the general adult population, as well as healthy adult blood bank donors – and they may also provide cross-protection against epidemic/pandemic strains.
