A Kansas State University researcher is exploring the use of Chinese wolfberries to improve vision deficiencies that are common for type-2 diabetics.
In a joint research effort with researchers at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and with help from scientists at The University of Pennsylvania, The University of Minnesota, and the National Institutes of Health, investigators from the Florida campus of The Scripps Research Institute have defined a specific protein complex that allows cells to rid themselves of damaged mitochondria, which are the energy producing machines of the cell.
Celgene International Sàrl announced clinical data from an investigational study of patients with multiple myeloma who were younger than 65 years old and received either lenalidomide (REVLIMID), melphalan and prednisone or melphalan plus autologous stem cell transplant (MEL200) following an induction treatment of lenalidomide plus low-dose dexamethasone (Rd) were presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meeting.
Precision BioSciences, Inc. today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) has granted Precision's requests for inter partes reexamination of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,610,545 (the ‘545 patent) and 7,309,605 (the ‘605 patent), which Cellectis SA (Alternext: ALCLS) has asserted against Precision in litigation.
