Functional magnetic resonance imaging may provide an early and objective indicator of autism, according to researchers at Columbia University in New York City, who used the technique to document language impairment in autistic children.

When in an environment similar to that in which they exist naturally, proteins and multiprotein assemblies may demonstrate actions or dynamics different than those they exhibit when in the static form in which they are most often studied, said researchers at Baylor College of Medicine in a report in the current issue of the journal Structure.
ACell, Inc. today announced the introduction of two new wound management devices: Cytal Wound Matrix 3-Layer and Cytal Wound Matrix 6-Layer. These devices are intended for the management of partial- and full-thickness wounds including pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, tunneled wounds, traumatic wounds, and surgical wounds.
Some states are not considering the symptoms that brought the patients to the hospital, the doctors charge.
