A new study published in the journal Epigenetics in February 2020 reports that changes in the methylation status of the Presenilin 1 (PSEN1) gene could help diagnose Alzheimer's disease (AD) earlier. This study shows for the first time that methylation of this gene is a common feature in AD.
The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), focusing on constitutional law, said today House passage of the pro-abortion health care package is "extremely disappointing" and President Obama's Executive Order fails "to provide permanent protections for the life of the unborn." The ACLJ says it is preparing legal challenges to the flawed health care package.
Slicing certain pills in half could slice a hefty amount off of America's prescription drug costs. While only some types of pills can be split safely, the practice could be used by millions of Americans – including many of those who take popular cholesterol-lowering drugs.
It's often hard to motivate youngsters with physical disabilities. But a new approach from a Tel Aviv University researcher bridges the worlds of behavior and science to help kids with paralysis and motor dysfunction improve their physical skills and inner confidence - using a trick up her sleeve called "magic."
CSL Behring announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has expanded the administration options for Hizentra, Immune Globulin Subcutaneous (Human), 20% Liquid, to include dosing once every two weeks (biweekly) for people diagnosed with primary immunodeficiency.
