Taiwan has apparently responded to bird flu fears by starting work on its own version of the anti-viral drug, Tamiflu, without waiting for the manufacturer's consent.
Earlier this year, Viji Santhakumar, an associate professor of molecular, cell and systems biology at the University of California, Riverside, received funding from the National Institute of Neurological Disaster and Stroke of the National Institutes of Health, or NIH, to further pursue research on moderate concussive brain injury.

Partners include Remedent Inc., of Ghent, Belgium, an international leader in oral care and cosmetic dentistry products; and Precise Structures Milling Center of Laguna Hills CA, which operates milling centers in Laguna Hills and Oshawa, Ontario.
