A new study, conducted by researchers in the Center for Injury Research and Policy of The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital, examined boxing injuries among participants 6 years of age and older from 1990 to 2008.

Government's COE Program encourages research activities in universities across Japan: Study

Scopus- announced today that Kyoto University is employing the former's data and functions in a study performed by Dr. Takanori Ida, Professor at the Graduate School of Economics - Kyoto University. The study shows how effectively the government's large funding scheme, 21st Century Center of Excellence Program, encouraged research activities in universities across Japan.

Intensive weekends: Higher death rates at ICUs over weekends

The study spanned over eight-years and 245,000 admissions to 41 intensive care units throughout Australia to come to this conclusion. It is published in The Medical Journal of Australia. It also showed that this pattern persisted even after accounting for severity of illness.
