The results were reported at the American Heart Association's annual meeting and published simultaneously online in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Researchers have identified hypomagnesemia as a risk factor for nonrecovery of renal function among critically ill patients with acute kidney injury.
Chronic rhinosinusitis is a common disease that is usually treated with intranasal medication and nasal saline lavage. Endoscopic sinus surgery) is considered when CRS is difficult to treat. The surgery aims to restore ventilation of paranasal sinuses and reduce inflammation.
