Drug-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus, a bacteria linked to a wide range of human diseases, are present in meat and poultry from U.S. grocery stores at unexpectedly high rates, according to a nationwide study by the Translational Genomics Research Institute.

Scientists from the Institute for Aging Research at Hebrew SeniorLife, along with several other research institutions are making great strides in understanding the genetics behind lean body mass, which is largely made up of muscle mass.
The Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada (CCAC) applauds the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care's decision today to provide expanded access of Avastin (bevacizumab) to patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.
DSM, which created and manufactures Dyneema Purity, the world's strongest Medical grade fiber, today announced agreements with Biomedical Structures, Cortland Company and Secant Medical.
