The 25.8 million Americans who have diabetes may soon be free of finger pricks and daily insulin dosing. Mayo Clinic endocrinologists Yogish Kudva, M.B.B.S., and Ananda Basu, M.B.B.S., M.D., are developing an artificial pancreas that will deliver insulin automatically and with an individualized precision never before possible.
Scientists at The University of Nottingham are to investigate whether giving recovering stroke patients a triple cocktail of medicines could reduce their chances of a further attack.
OriGene Technologies, Inc. has recently achieved a significant milestone in its quest for developing an assay for every human protein through the release of 1,500 mouse monoclonal antibodies under the TrueMAB brand. Each TrueMAB antibody is specifically developed with full-length human proteins produced in HEK293T cells and validated for critical research and diagnostic needs requiring improved antibody sensitivity and specificity.
Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted for review two supplemental New Drug Applications (sNDAs) for the use of LATUDA as 1) monotherapy and 2) adjunctive therapy to lithium or valproate, both to treat adult patients with depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder (bipolar depression).
