Responding to the cardiac CT market's need for superior image quality with lower radiation doses, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., has unveiled new cardiac software enhancements available now for the Aquilion® ONE and Aquilion Premium CT systems. The new cardiac CT software package is designed to reduce radiation exposure while maintaining outstanding image quality.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), the most common form of inflammatory arthritis, affects almost three percent of people over age 65. RA patients experience pain, functional limitations and two forms of disabling bone disease: focal erosions and osteoporosis.
Most of the congressional districts with the greatest numbers of uninsured people are represented by Democrats, according to The Associated Press.
A new program that trains emergency medical service technicians (EMS) to read electrocardiograms so that they can evaluate patients with chest pain, and expedite treatment for the severe heart condition known as ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), a serious form of heart attack, has excellent results and should become the standard of care, according to two studies published in the current issue of the Canadian Journal of Cardiology.
Revenue for the three months ended June 30, 2009 was $4,297,000, compared to $4,978,000 for the three months ended June 30, 2008. Revenue for both periods primarily consisted of Fortical sales and royalties, which were $3,807,000 for the three months ended June 30, 2009, and $4,110,000 for the three months ended June 30, 2008.
