The three most common forms of acute viral hepatitis in the United States - hepatitis A, B and C - declined dramatically between 1995 and 2005, with hepatitis A and B at the lowest levels ever recorded since the government began collecting surveillance data more than 40 years ago, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Hepatitis B and C are diseases that can lead to liver cancer and death.
In one of the largest studies of its kind, clinicians and researchers with Carolinas HealthCare System found that nearly 25% of women with nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP) reported weight gain below recommended levels for their pre-pregnancy body mass index (PPBMI).
The Associated Press reports that as many as two-thirds of these contractors had financial connections to claims processors.
A new University of Oklahoma study could have implications on our understanding of how certain sensory signals are transmitted through the body.
Improving MR exam workflow without sacrificing patient safety, exam comfort or image quality is a goal for many health care facilities.
